The University of Reading, UK has begun prototyping our future overlords. Using brain cells cultured from a rat they have built a robot capable of collision avoidance.
I'm sure, that soon, there will be millions of them.

That's... I don't know what to think about that. But the biologists and engineers have a "good for humanity" motive behind it, so... hrm... No Mad-Scientist Davros behind the research, development, and implementation, at least!
